Another Guild Disbands/Reforms to Shed Slackers
Karazhan has been an interesting addition to the World of Warcraft. Many say it's what splits out the Casuals from the Raiders, and while the Casuals were able to "tag along" to things like Molten Core and Blackwing Lair and Naxx if they joined a guild that had those instances on "farm status", they're finding the game has changed with regards to Karazhan and Serpentshire Lair (is that right? SSL, the 25-man).
Now, there's more cries of "elitism" in Officer and Raider teams, from the more casual side.
Now, there's more demands on individuals to gear themselves up appropriately using standard 5-man dungeons instead of hitting 70 and gearing up in the raiding instances with 9-39 other guildies, and the ones who have geared themselves up quickly are leaving the slower-advancers in the dust, feeling the need to shed "less productive raiders".
On the Realm forums for Undermine, there's an active thread about the guild "Insurrection" which has recently disbanded and its raiding core has re-formed under the guild tag of "Corrupted".
The original poster starts out like this:

Some months ago i took part in a guild that once cared about people having a good time ,, and just having a place to go , to relax chill out ,, play a game ,, raid , or even just sit and converse with so called friends , i recently took a vacation to come back and see that everyone has lost sight of why lots of poeple pay to play this game.
and then others from the guild's past begin to pipe in:

I agree with you Helen and I think that you're right that Insurrection lost sight of all those things you hold dear. That's why I had to leave. It became too elitist and helping people was no longer and option for many of the members.
And some present members...

You cannot expect everything to be handed to you, and you cannot expect others to consider their definition of "fun" as raiding Tarren Mill. Didnt want to put it like this, but instead of just discussing this with people you proceeded to come onto the forums, so there you have it.

As for not trying to disprove or deny our problems: of course we aren't. Most of our problems stemmed from just the inclusion of certain members; people who needed babysitting, or who were't patient because they had no idea what organizing two raid groups takes, or who weren't proactive enough to do their own research and gearing up.
Go check it out for yourself, it's an interesting read and I'm sure will go on for a bit longer yet :)
